BEO CRESCENT Hainanese CURRY RICE!!!!

Week after week after our clubbing sessions, we will be here having supper no matter how drunk or wasted we are. Everyone just seem to love the curry rice here and it's super addictive!!

The curry gravy itself is very nicely cooked, enough to get you coming back again for more very soon.

The crispy pork chop is very tasty and super crispy just like crackers! It's the star dish here. Please do not leave this place if you haven't ordered this dish.

 Braised pork.

This is another star dish which all of us love. Cabbage chup chye!

Other yummy dishes which we always order include luncheon meat, fish, egg and meatballs.

These are the only pictures i have from this curry rice stall despite visiting this place upteen times. Haha, reason is due to being highly intoxicated by alcohol to even remember taking any pictures before i even reach here.

Located at a coffeeshop facing carpark at BEO Crescent, Blk 40.
It opens from 3am onwards and closes at around lunch or until sold out.

Hide Yamamoto at Marina Bay Sands

One evening, we decided to come here for dinner. There are four menus for you to choose from — sushi, teppanyaki, robata and ramen.

Its better to make a reservation beforehand to secure a seat in this restaurant.

Staff were very friendly and knowledgable and helped us select what we should have for dinner according to our preferences.

Mini Cha Shu Don- Soy based pork belly on rice.
Love the watery yolk oozing out from the egg, pork slices were somewhat sweet and this size would be good enough as it leaves me more stomach space to try more food!

 Garlic Rice.
Its a wonder how a simple dish like this can be so satisfying, i always love garlic rice. However, i preferred the one from Sakae Teppanyaki, i thought that was more tasty compared to this.

Foie Gras marinated with Miso and hint of Yuzu. I really love this to bits, foie gras is crisp on the outside and  creamy inside, definitely worth a try!

Chawanmushi- Black truffle flan with fresh sea urchin.
Another unique delicacy here, egg is steamed to perfection, very smooth in texture. After a few hours, i still can taste a slight bit of truffle lingering in my palettes.

the broth was quite normal and nothing to rave about.

Japanese Wagyu beef tenderloin.
Excellent, fresh and tender.
Cha Shu Soy Ramen.
The soup was pretty moderate to me. However, the highlight was the cha shu slices which were very tasty. I would come here for this bowl of ramen again :)

Hazy Singapore...

The haze is terrible. Masks are very essential now but they are sold out in Watson's and Guardian's at Tampines Mall when i went just now. It is at a ridiculous index of 321 now (12.11am, 20th June) which is considered hazardous by NEA.

Perhaps Laurier would be a good alternative, haha!

Luckily i have this cartoon printed mask i bought from Beijing to combat the cold weather back then. It's finally coming in useful again.

Hope tomorrow will be a better and less hazy day!

Ramen Bar Suzuki! (Tonkotsu Ramen at Boat Quay)

You can choose from Cardinal red, pure white or jet black ramen. I had the cardinal red which is served with miso paste and chilli which makes it spicy. i actually enjoyed this ramen, my friends thought theirs were just moderate though, they chose the pure white one.

You can also customize the texture of your noodles. Hard boiled eggs and bean sprouts come for free!

DB Bistro Moderne at Marina Bay Sands

This has got to be one of my favourite French restaurants, opened by Daniel Boulud, have been here multiple times and always ordering the same stuff over and over again cuz i just cannot get enough!!

Top left corner is French Onion Soup with generous lashing of cheese and croutons, soup was rich in taste and one of the better ones i have tried in Singapore.

Next, the seared Foie Gras with brioche toast and sliced apples, this is very rich and creamy in texture, we never fail to order this everytime we are here. It has a buttery, melting texture and melts in the mouth, wonderfully done. (i prefer this than the terrine which is served cold in pates.

Top bottom left is the steak with frites (10 oz grilled sirloin, mesclun salad, pomme frites, sauce bearnaise). The veggie was extremely crunchy, i happily finished the whole thing, fries was freshly cut using fresh potatoes and perfectly crisp. Steak was rather juicy.

Their signature DB burger has seared foie gras stuffed in the middle, if you are a foie gras lover like me, you would love this very juicy burger.

Salmon with butter rice was rather impressive, i love the tasty butter rice and the salmon with almond flakes topping it. Fine De Clair oysters are another must-order whenever we visit. They are very fresh with a soft consistency and very juicy.
