on rainy Sunday evening, i visited the Taka Food Fest with my dear friends.
it was sooo crowded.
but some of the food were really yummy!!!
especially...
this:

oh my!
it's one of the nicest thing i've had.
so sweet, so cooling.
absolutely heavenly!

hello person-in-green,
i thought you were supposed to re-size this pic for me?!?
see lah, now it's so obvious that i'm the shortest!!
*pouts*
heck lah, short then short lor.
at least, i have nice hair mah.
*lol*
next up, Wala Wala.
chilling out time.
the perfect weather for a nice hot drink.
but silly me and girl-in-pink ordered 2 totally unknown to us Japanese beer on the menu.
just because we were curious,
and *whispers* we love Japan.
and so, my beer tasted like Marmite, the brownish thing you mix with porridge.
which, fortunately, i began to develop a forced-interest for progressively.
supper at River Valley next.
i greedily finished a bowl of Fish soup with a bowl of rice dumped into it.
and a few pieces of fried tou foo.

can you see cheeky me?
i dunno why person-in-green just had to sit in such a way where 78% of my body is blocked.
anyway, i'm not stating their names here for a reason, not for fun.
ok, the next day,
Bing and i visited the Taka Food Fest again!
this time, i tried the PEANUT BUTTER TOAST WITH CONDENSED MILK.
it's so nice!!!
and the one thing which i feel everyone should not miss at this food fest is the BOBO SHO
it looks like "lor mai Kai" but it tastes way way way better than that!
fantastic!!!
order 2, cuz one is never enough.
btw, for interested gluttons like me, the TAKA food fest ends this coming Sunday, 17th July.
caught Fantastic 4 but nothing really fantastic about this movie.
k, i admit i was dreaming during the first few minutes.
all my shopping loot arrived last week!
i have a sudden avalanche of new clothes!

my hauls from FOS, JB:

we were all madly shopping.
and i'm so happy with my espadrilles from Vincci!
finally found one which fits me perfectly :)
bought some snacks from the tidbits store too.
found this "Strawberry Quaker Oats", been looking for this for years man!!
and Durian Chips!
Yumz!!
some pics taken at The One KTV, Beverly's birthday party last Saturday.
as usual, we were all ecstasized by alcohol.

(until now, i'm wondering when was this taken)

we, the crybabies.

Carnivore, a Brazillian Churrascaria
as it's name implies, everything was about meat, meat, meat.
we had free flow of meat and salad the whole night through.
but who cares about salad when there's so much yummy BBQed meat!
they were all so tasty and the waiters would come around in skewers slicing the meat off our plates.
and soon, our empty plates were all filled up with different kinds of meat.
Condiments for our meat
My plate- fresh from the Salad Bar
Lamb chop (my favourite!), Pork, Beef
Fish, Chicken drum
Chicken heart
Other stuff we had which are not found in the pics include Beef ham, beef drum, honey baked ham, pork sausages, beef and bacon tenderloin, chicken breast etc.
we used chips which were 2 sided to communicate with the waiters.
they were placed on our tables and whenever we wanted them to stop serving us, we would just flip the chips over to the RED side.
mine was never flipped to that side.
*LOL*
and one of the Brazillian waiters there even commented that i "eat everything!" in a joking manner.
i had a great time at Carnivore and would definitely go back there again.
but i felt a little bit sinful after seeing so many different kinds of meat on my plate.
so many poor animals were killed just to satisfy my huge appetite. :(
i love this pic!
oh, and i bought this straw bag for only $11!!

i received my Henrietta and my Mietta today!!
i'm so delighted with my purchases, i absolutely adore them.
i decided to take a gamble with the sizes available online, i ordered the smallest size from the Kids section!!
and Bingo!
i fitted in them exactly, and nicely too! =)
and they were my inspiration to update my almost forgotten StyleDiary.
here's a peep:

we spend Pearly's birthday having dinner at THE CANTEEN, by les amis.
it was supposed to be a French restaurant, but it actually adapted more of an 'east meets west' concept where Chinese dishes were fused together with western.
My set dinner consists of:
Appetizer: Smoked Salmon
too salty for my liking.
Soup: Cream of Mushroom
looks like a cup of espresso?
well, that was what we thought too ;p
but it's really soup!
and we had to slurp it down like coffee =D
Main Course: Steak with fries
this is absolutely yummy!
i'm craving for it now.
Desert: Tiramisu
great way to end the meal.
some pics of what the others had:
Seafood Pasta
better off with fried bee hoon at my house downstair's kopitiam.
Some Apple Desert
loved the lychee sorbet.
Baked Bananas with Ice Cream

Golden Mile steamboat
when we reached there, it was extremely crowded!!
and the place was huge!
the whole basement belonged to one owner.
even with the huge space, it didn't cater for enough customers.
many people were standing around looking for seats.
service was really efficient, our food came almost immediately despite the crowd.
but we were very very disappointed with it.
it was soooo normal.
steamboat at Xian De Lai, Bugis was anytime better than this.
definitely overrated :(
