[Food Review] East Manhatten Bakery Cafe

Those living in the East of Singapore may be familiar with East Manhatten Bakery, started by Master Chef Mr John Wee who had a profound interest in baking. After spending a year in Manhatten, New York learning the fine art of American baking, East Manhatten Bakery was born, serving freshly baked authentic, artisanal bread, tarts and cakes.

Last year, East Manhatten Bakery Cafe was opened in the West of Singapore at Lorong Kilat serving not only bread but also many other signature dishes.

Interior was large and spacious, decorated with old school wooden furniture, mirrors and brick walls.

Saw a really vintage Sony transmitter, I didn't know Sony had something like this. The oldest product from Sony I have ever seen and used was probably their Walkman.

Signature Cold Brew Coffee $6.50

Rum Fired Latte $9- now this is something special. Drink was lighted up in a small flame and upon drinking, you will feel hot sensation going through your body. It can be quite a romantic experience having this on a special occasion with someone special.

Lobster Bisque $8 served with a slice of artisan bread.
Uncomplicated honest-to-goodness flavours of lobster served with chunks of lobster meat within. Piping hot with vevelty snooth texture, Love this very much!

 Salmon Quinoa $16.80

Basil Chicken  Quinoa $16.80

Beef Quinoa $16.80

East Manhatten Bakery and Cafe aims at bringing you wholesome, healthy and tasty food. Here, you can find gluten free meals for the health conscious. Quinoa is believed to be rich in fibre and protein and has many health benefits.

I highly recommend the Salmon Quinoa. Fish is crispy on the outside but extremely tender on the inside, served with very delectable creamy mushroom sauce.

I must admit that it was my first time having quinoa after hearing so much about this 'superfood'. It was very much to my liking and is a little similar to risotto,

French Toast Strawberry Ice-cream $12,80
Such a pretty and sweet way to end our meal!

Besides coffee, East Manhatten Bakery Cafe also serves alcoholic beverages. This would be a perfect place to relax and chill amidst the tranquil neighbourhood coupled with great service.

Thank you John for your great hospitality and excellent service.
